REMOTE CA-Barred Employment Law Attorney
A growing national practice is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with class action and or wage & hour experience. This attorney can come from either the plaintiff or defense side. This firm is seeking a litigator who is motivated and can aggressively push their cases along towards settlement or trial.
Responsibilities of Role:
β’ Working on 40-60 cases at any given time in state, federal court or arbitration. The cases donβt go to trial often, but someone who knows how to manage a docket and know legal issues important.
β’ Conducting depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
β’ Preparing for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings with the assigned Partner.
β’ Drafting written discovery, notices, subpoenas and other legal documents
β’ Working with the briefing team to conduct legal research and writing.
β’ Drafting legal pleadings, motions, correspondence and other required documents.
β’ Negotiating settlements, with the assistance of a Partner.
Perks:
β’ Independence, but backing of successful plaintiff firm. This is a good opportunity for an attorney to establish a west coast presence, without being required to generate their own revenue.
β’ Cases go to trial, and this attorney could be a part of that.
β’ Quality resources β support staff, marketing, etc. - we do not depend on referral lawyers.
β’ A team that consists of 2-3 lawyers, a paralegal, and a legal assistant for every case we file. They also sometimes have a full-time briefing attorney to help this litigator!
β’ Growth into management if the attorney wants it.
Compensation:
β’ $2150K β 250K (pay is contingent upon experience in the wage & hour and/or class action employment law space)
β’ Bonus β different bonus structures (can be quite extensive, up to double the base with additional compensation!)
Requirements:
β’ 3+ years of class action and/or wage & hour experience (plaintiff or defense)
β’ CA license
