[Remote] Business Support Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. University of Phoenix is seeking a Business Support Analyst to provide system support for applications related to finance. The role involves analyzing issues, providing solutions, and collaborating with teams to implement changes.ResponsibilitiesProvide level 1 and 2 support for all assigned software applications and determine impact and scope of issues and/or requests, provide solutions and/or escalate to assigned development teamsIdentify and analyze major issues in software support calls; provide management reports, recommended solutions and other required informationEnsure adherence to internal audit and compliance controls, and complete periodic audits on all setup/configurationPerform system setup/configuration to support application and business requirements, maintain database integrity and security by providing user provisioning, password changes, and the termination of user accessOversee escalated transactional updates needed in the application to meet business needs; manage system interfaces to ensure all data is accounted for and reconciled on a routine basisInteract and communicate with project team members to support the successful delivery and implementation of system setup/configuration updates and modifications into productionParticipate in defining testing requirements, including regression, user acceptance and other tests as needed, staging data and perform final test execution to ensure the environmentās stability when code changes are madeInterface and develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers to understand and resolve production related requestsPerform other duties as assigned or apparentSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, business, or technology related field or relevant work experienceOne (1) year of experience in accounting/finance, operations and/or technology, including one (1) year of writing SQL queriesTwo (2) years of experience in production system supportExperience with technologies that utilize various interfacesAn understanding of the business and the information systems used to manage related informationExperience in the Higher Education IndustryAn ability to provide suggestions which improve processes to support business resultsExperience writing and executing SQL queriesAn understanding of a financial applicationAbility to periodically work nights, weekends and on call supportCommunicate effectively, both written and verballyExperience working with customers or in a customer service support roleStrong business analysis, research, and problem solving skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy; ability to make effective decisions and solve problems with urgencyCompany OverviewUniversity of Phoenix is a higher learning education institute that provides both online and classroom tutoring platforms.
