[Remote] Business Operations Analyst Behavioral Health

Ascension Recovery Services (ARS) is the nation's first Substance Use Disorder Management Services Organization, providing support to behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment organizations. They are seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Analyst to analyze enterprise performance, identify operational and financial improvement opportunities, and support growth initiatives across their national network.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze key performance indicators across all facilities and business unitsTrack and report on: Average Daily Census (ADC), Admissions and conversion rates, Referral pipeline performance, Length of Stay (LOS), AMA discharge rates, Completion rates, Labor efficiency, Revenue and profitability metricsIdentify underperforming facilities and partner with leadership on corrective action plansDevelop and maintain enterprise dashboards and performance reporting toolsSupport a culture of accountability through transparent reporting and operational review processesAnalyze operational and financial performance to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and profitabilityEvaluate payer mix strategies and reimbursement opportunitiesSupport forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling effortsAnalyze program profitability across detox, residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, and ancillary servicesPartner with Finance and Operations to improve EBITDA performance and operational scalabilityMeet with facility and corporate leaders to discuss operational challenges, trends, and opportunitiesAnalyze admissions performance and referral source effectiveness across all locationsEvaluate: Cost per admission, Referral source ROI, Conversion rates, CRM utilization, Outreach and business development effectivenessIdentify opportunities to improve admissions workflows and increase conversion ratesPartner with Marketing, Admissions, and Business Development teams to scale successful growth strategiesCollaborate with clinical leadership to improve: Retention rates, Completion rates, AMA discharge reduction, Continuity of care outcomesTranslate outcome data into actionable operational recommendationsSupport value-based care initiatives and payer partnership strategiesDevelop and oversee executive dashboards and reporting infrastructureEnsure alignment between: EHR platforms, Billing systems, CRM platforms, Operational reporting toolsIdentify opportunities for automation and reporting efficienciesEstablish and maintain a single source of truth for enterprise performance metricsSupport implementation and optimization of operational systems and reporting processesSupport strategic growth initiatives, including: De novo facility launches, Acquisitions and integrations, New service line development, Market expansion opportunitiesConduct market assessments, feasibility studies, and competitive analysesDevelop financial models, pro formas, and business casesSupport acquisition due diligence and integration activitiesMonitor newly launched or acquired facilities to ensure achievement of operational and financial benchmarksServe as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, facility leaders, and client organizationsPresent findings and recommendations to leadership teams and stakeholdersTranslate complex operational and financial data into actionable insightsSupport strategic planning initiatives and special projectsCollaborate across departments to ensure successful execution of enterprise initiativesSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Economics, Data Analytics, or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience in business analysis, consulting, healthcare operations, strategic planning, finance, or related disciplinesStrong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting toolsExperience supporting multi-site organizations or healthcare operationsExceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, mental health services, or healthcare operationsExperience in healthcare consulting, management consulting, private equity-backed healthcare organizations, or multi-site healthcare environmentsFamiliarity with EHR systems, healthcare billing systems, CRM platforms, and operational reporting toolsMBA, MHA, MPH, or related advanced
