[Remote] Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst will support operational teams by analyzing complex healthcare data to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiencies.ResponsibilitiesSupport all core disciplines of Honest’s business (i.e., Medical Expense Management, Risk Adjustment/Clinical Documentation Integrity, Quality and Care Management). Specific expertise in one or more of these disciplines will be a focus depending on organizational needsDevelop a deep understanding of Honest Health’s data assets and analytics product inventory as it relates to strategic decision-making, problem-solving and generation of actionable insightsServe as the core analytics partner for the assigned primary discipline(s), translating business needs and opportunities into data-informed insights and actionable, decision support toolsExecute moderately complex analyses and support the development of standard dashboards, recurring reports, and data tools under the direction of Sr. and Lead AnalystsIntegrate and analyze data from diverse sources including electronic health records (EHRs), health information exchanges (HIEs), and claims data that are housed in Honest’s enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and/or other population health platformsLeverage expert SQL skills to extract and analyze large, complex data and transform it into informative deliverables, insights, tools, and presentations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and improvement opportunitiesIdentify relationships in data sets, determine key fields, and independently recommend actionable insightsRespond to routine and moderately complex ad hoc data requests with accuracy and timeliness, escalating higher-complexity requests when appropriateDocument logic, methodology, data definitions, and workflows so outputs can be easily reviewed, audited, and reused by teammatesDeliver timely, accurate responses to ad hoc requests and proactively surface root causes, trends and opportunities for optimizationServe as a strategic partner through forming and maintaining strong relationships within the Analytics team, with stakeholders across the business – from individual contributors to executive leadershipUtilize strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop and deliver powerful insights through the adoption of new data visualization, advanced business intelligence, and emerging AI-driven toolsAct as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of data and its interpretation to support informed decision-makingExhibit exceptional reliability and follow-through, with the ability to commit to multiple concurrent deadlines and be accountable for updates and on-time deliveryParticipate in data quality initiatives, assisting with identifying and correcting data issuesPerform other related responsibilities as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Healthcare, or similar field3+ years of experience in data analytics is required including expertise with large, complex data sets is requiredAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong SQL skills, preferably in a Snowflake or other cloud computing environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and levels of an organizationStrong attention to detail and a passion for digging into processes to better understand them and communicate the big pictureProven ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly-matrixed environmentStrong strategic, analytical, and creative skills with a history of tackling and solving complex challengesAble to navigate ambiguity and transform complexity into a state of clarity and actionable structureCapable of working independently and collaborating efficiently within a team environmentHealthcare analytics experience and a strong understanding of healthcare data and operational workflows is highly preferredExperience with value-based care models is preferredData visualization experience, desired, preferably TableauWorking knowledge of programming languages (i.e., R, Python, SAS) desiredFamiliarity with the utilization of AI, Machine Learning and/or NLP in a healthcare settingBenefitsEligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.Company OverviewHonest Health is the leader in primary care transformation.
