The Business Development Specialist plays a critical role in creating a qualified pipeline for the Sales organization, responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and advancing early-stage opportunities with Direct Employers and Consultants.ResponsibilitiesSource and book qualified Discovery Meetings with Direct Employer prospects and Consultant partnersConsistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual meeting targets, including minimum Direct Employer requirementsConduct initial qualification conversations, articulate Quantum Health’s value proposition, and ensure meetings meet 'Qualified Prospect' criteriaAttend Discovery Meetings when needed to support progression to Sales Qualified (SQ)Partner with Sales Executives and SAs to set the next steps and confirm opportunity advancementExecute structured outbound outreach (phone, email, LinkedIn, Outreach.io campaigns) to build a predictable pipeline of qualified prospectsBuild and maintain territory coverage aligned to GTM strategy, segment criteria, and assigned account listsIdentify, research, and prioritize target accounts via Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other BD toolsMaintain strong working knowledge of competitor landscapes and market trendsEnsure accurate and timely entry of all activities, contacts, meetings, and opportunity details in SalesforceMaintain accurate and up-to-date Account and Contact records in Salesforce, ensuring segmentation, titles, hierarchies, outreach activity, and data fields are consistently updatedFollow all BD processes for event creation, opportunity creation, meeting recording, and progression workflowsProvide weekly and monthly reporting on pipeline creation, outreach performance, and territory engagementPrepare pre-call briefs and materials as needed for Sales ExecutivesExecute and monitor campaigns via phone calls, Outreach.io sequences, and LinkedIn outreach in assigned territory to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunitiesSupport event-based initiatives as needed related to conference booth engagement and sales hosted eventsOther duties as assignedSkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalentExperience: 3+ years of experience in B2B Inside Sales/Business Development/Lead Generation; healthcare field a plusDemonstrated proficiency in using Word, PowerPoint and ExcelExperience using Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, miEdge, BenefitFlow, or similar toolsStrong communication skills with the ability to lead high-level conversations with senior HR, Benefits, and Consultant contactsHighly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a metric-driven environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently in a hybrid or remote settingStrong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficientlyA high degree of personal accountability and trustworthiness, a commitment to working within Quantum Health's policies, values and ethics, and to protecting the sensitive data entrusted to usCompany OverviewQuantum Health provides advocacy and support for employee benefits and healthcare management.
