[Remote] Business Development Representative - Portsmouth NH / Public Sector

The Public Sector BDR will play a critical role in expanding Blue Mantis’ presence within government, education, and other public sector organizations by engaging prospective clients and articulating the company's value proposition.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and prospect new public sector clients (state, local, education, and government agencies) through research, outbound outreach, and networkingQualify leads and initiate meaningful conversations focused on clients’ IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance challengesSchedule meetings and support sales executives in the sales processMaintain accurate records of outreach and client interactions in CRM systemsCollaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted campaigns for public sector prospectsStay current on public sector technology trends, procurement methods, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCIArticulate the Blue Mantis value proposition—security-first, cost optimization, compliance, and innovation—to public sector decision-makersMeet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline generationSkills1-3 years of business development, sales, or lead generation experience (preferably in IT services or public sector markets)Understanding of public sector procurement cycles and compliance requirementsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience using CRM and sales enablement toolsKnowledge of IT solutions such as managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, and data enablement is a plusBenefitsFully remoteReasonable accommodations will be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Company OverviewBlue Mantis is a security-first IT solutions & services provider with 30+ years of experience in managed services, cloud, and cybersecurity.
