[Remote] Business Development Representative - Dynamic Energy

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pattern Energy is focused on decarbonizing the grid by advancing renewable energy projects across the U.S. The Business Development Representative will identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and support sales efforts to enhance the company's growth and profitability. Responsibilities Client acquisition / lead generation (primary focus): Research target accounts and contacts; conduct outbound outreach (phone, email, and other channels); qualify inbound and outbound leads; schedule meetings and transition qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales leader Sales support: Assist with preparation of proposals, contracts, presentations, and other documentation; coordinate information needed to advance opportunities; support deal execution as directed Reporting and administration: Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity and client interactions in the CRM; prepare recurring activity and pipeline reports; complete administrative tasks as needed Professional development: Stay current on renewable energy and competitive landscape; participate in training and coaching to improve product knowledge and sales effectiveness Skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Understanding of sales fundamentals and customer service practices Prior business development/inside sales experience is a plus Strong written and verbal communication Ability to build rapport and handle objections Proficiency with CRM tools and disciplined activity tracking Basic understanding of the solar/renewable industry Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organization, time management, and follow-through 1–2 years of experience in business development, inside sales, or a similar role Experience in solar or renewable energy is a plus Familiarity with commercial or utility-scale solar sales cycles Knowledge of solar energy systems/value proposition Relevant renewable-energy training or certification Benefits Medical Dental Vision Short and long-term disability Life insurance Voluntary benefits Family care benefits Employee assistance program Paid time off and bonding leave Paid holidays 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contribution Employee referral bonuses Company Overview Pattern Energy is one of the world’s largest privately-owned developers and operators of wind, solar, transmission, and energy storage projects.
