Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blue Mantis is focused on expanding its presence within government, education, and commercial sector organizations. The Commercial Sector/Public Sector BDR will engage prospective clients and help modernize their IT infrastructure while ensuring compliance and security requirements are met. Responsibilities Identify and prospect new commercial sector clients (state, local, education, and government agencies) through research, outbound outreach, and networking Qualify leads and initiate meaningful conversations focused on clients’ IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, and compliance challenges Schedule meetings and support sales executives in the sales process Maintain accurate records of outreach and client interactions in CRM systems Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted campaigns for commercial sector prospects Stay current on commercial sector technology trends, procurement methods, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCI) Articulate the Blue Mantis value proposition—security-first, cost optimization, compliance, and innovation—to commercial sector decision-makers Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for outreach, meetings booked, and pipeline generation Skills 1-3 years of business development, sales, or lead generation experience (preferably in IT services or commercial sector markets) Understanding of commercial sector procurement cycles and compliance requirements Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Experience using CRM and sales enablement tools Knowledge of IT solutions such as managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, and data enablement is a plus Company Overview Blue Mantis is a security-first IT solutions & services provider with 30+ years of experience in managed services, cloud, and cybersecurity.
