[Remote] Business Development Representative
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Untrap Inc. is an early-stage startup focused on helping Managed Service Providers uncover operational inefficiencies using AI. The Business Development Representative will generate qualified meetings through multi-channel outbound prospecting and collaborate closely with sales leadership to refine messaging and strategy. Responsibilities Generate qualified meetings with owners and decision-makers through multi-channel outbound prospecting Build pipeline using LinkedIn, email, cold calling, social selling, direct outreach, and community/event participation Use outbound tooling and workflows (e.g., Clay, Instantly, sequencing, enrichment) to improve targeting, personalization, and efficiency Research accounts, identify decision-makers, and tailor messaging based on context and operational pain points Test and iterate on outreach angles, messaging, and sequences to improve reply rates, meeting conversion, and show rates Maintain accurate activity tracking, notes, and pipeline hygiene in CRM and outbound systems Collaborate closely with founders/sales leadership on ICP refinement, messaging, campaign ideas, and follow-up strategy Capture and share market feedback from conversations (objections, competitor mentions, pain points, buying signals) to inform product and GTM Skills 1–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience (SaaS preferred) Comfortable with high-activity outbound execution across email + LinkedIn + calling Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to earn trust quickly with owner-operators Self-starter mindset: takes ownership, moves work forward without needing close supervision, and is driven by goals Hands-on experience with modern sales tools and CRMs (or strong willingness to learn quickly) Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate proactively with a distributed team Understanding of the MSP industry (managed services, PSA/ticketing workflows, IT services) or existing relationships in the space Hands-on experience with Clay, Instantly, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar tools Experience prospecting at conferences or vertically focused community events Prior experience at an early-stage startup where you helped build (not just run) an outbound motion Benefits Equity options may be available for a candidate with material experience at a SaaS vendor selling into the MSP market, or you have had success growing a company as BDR #1 Remote-first with 1–2 in-person sessions per month (GTA).
