[Remote] Business Development Manager - Polymers
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Company Confidential is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Polymers division. This role is responsible for generating and leading new sales efforts in existing and new markets, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop new products and market opportunities.ResponsibilitiesDevelops a deep understanding of new market and product opportunitiesEstablishes contacts and networks within key markets and industries as well as academic institutions to define market needs and facilitate discussion on technologies available to meet these needs. Feed new ideas to the GROW processValidates the efficacy and value proposition of new offerings, as a Liaison between all functions, to solidify product scope, specifications / timing, regulatory, and costs of any new product developmentProvides front line feedback where retooling or improving the offering is required or warrantedProvides insights to the marketing team regarding marketing collateral needs and utilizes this collateral to create industry awareness for the new offeringLeads cross functional team to scale up new opportunitiesServes as the company point person and champion at the customer during incubation/scale upCollects and translates the voice of the customer to lead development of new product/market and service offerings that meet customer’s needs and wantsLeads training efforts for distribution channels involving new offeringsReports account activity highlights, market intel, customer VOC and account plans for subsequent weeksIn partnership with the [project management/pricing} key stakeholders (marketing, product management, finance etc.) -recommend, negotiate, and implement pricing strategy - as agreed with the Sales DirectorSkills5 years of experience successfully leading new sales in the polymer industry selling to Medical Device companiesDemonstrates leadership skills in a business team environmentExperience using innovative approaches to creating new product conceptsExperience with planning and delivering effective technical presentations to groupsContract and financial acumenTechnical understanding of our technology and its end use applicationsEstablishes and cultivates relationships with potential customers and influencersCommunicates complex knowledge into a clear concise messaging for stakeholders at every level, both internally and externallyComprehends market trends and helps shape the future of the product lineUtilizes marketing/chemistry skills to position new products for saleUses strong project management skills to plan and deliver the desired business outcomePrioritizes multiple projects and delivers resultsCollaborates effectively with a cross-functional team of suppliers and internal resourcesLeads self and others to desired outcomesNegotiates effectively with internal and external stakeholdersPossesses excellent written and verbal presentation skillsEffective training and coaching skillsCompany OverviewCompany Confidential delivers consulting, process improvement, and outsourced support for admin, customer, and technical operations.
