[Remote] Business Development Manager - Data Centers

The Business Development Manager - Data Centers will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the data center industry, developing relationships with key decision makers, and implementing business development strategies.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the data center industrySeeking, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makersCreating and implementing business development strategiesAchieving sales targetsCoordinating and collaborating with internal technical and product teams to ensure client needs are metParticipating in industry events and conferencesSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering, Business or a related fieldBusiness Development and Sales skillsKnowledge of Energy Solutions (generators, distributed power, UPSs, BESS, microgrids)Minimum of 5 years experience selling directly into the Data Center industry specifically with Hyperscalers, Colocators, Integrators, Developers, etcExperience with Engineering/Procurement/Construction (EPC) firmsAbility to develop, implement and execute business strategiesRelationship management and stakeholder engagement skillsAnalyze opportunities and customer needsStrong communication and negotiation skillsConduct Sales Presentations and Product TrainingProject management and coordination skillsParticipation in data center industry organizationsProvide reconnaissance of competitors' influence and develop a plan to counter their influenceAbility to travel up to 50%Experience with SAP, Sales Force or similar CRM systems and data analysisCompany OverviewGenerac is the total energy solutions company powering a smarter world.
