They are seeking a Business Development Manager – Control Valves & Automation, responsible for expanding the company's presence in control valves and automation across assigned regions and strategic accounts while acting as a technical advisor to customers and stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional and key‑account growth strategies to expand control valve and automation revenueDrive front‑end engagement for priority pursuits, including early project influence, technical positioning, and solution strategySupport regional leadership with opportunity strategy, risk assessment, and execution clarity on complex or high‑value pursuitsActively engage EPCs, consultants, and engineering houses to influence specifications and project standardsLead expansion of Bray’s position on end user and EPC AMLsServe as Bray’s technical authority in resolving qualification gaps, competitive challenges, and specification barriersServe as the recognized subject‑matter expert in control valves, actuation, and automation across assigned marketsRepresent Bray as a trusted technical partner to end users, EPCs, and OEMs at both engineering and executive levelsDevelop and execute industry‑specific growth strategies in collaboration with regional sales teams (e.g., oil & gas, chemical, power, mining, pulp & paper, sugar & ethanol, water, geothermal)Establish long‑term strategic relationships with key customers, engineering stakeholders, and decision makersReplicate global and regional success stories across markets to accelerate adoption and consistencyTrain and enable sales teams to confidently position and specify control valve and automation solutionsDeliver technical training, customer seminars, and workshops to build application confidence and brand trustParticipate directly in high‑value customer meetings alongside regional sales teamsDemonstrate a strong “one‑team” mindset, balancing individual accountability with collective successEnsure regional execution aligns with Bray’s global Control Valve & Automation strategyContribute to enterprise success by sharing best practices, supporting broader BII Controls Division initiatives, and replicating wins beyond individual territory ownershipOperate as an active team player partnering closely with product management, marketing, projects, and operations to align strategy and executionProvide structured market feedback on customer needs, competitive trends, and portfolio gapsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, or related discipline (required)10+ years of experience in control valves, actuation, or industrial automation, with strong application exposureProven experience engaging EPCs, consultants, and end‑user engineering organizationsDemonstrated success influencing specifications, AML inclusion, and front‑end project decisionsStrong technical credibility paired with commercial and strategic acumenAbility to operate independently while influencing cross‑functional and global teamsWillingness to travel within the assigned regionValid driver's license required with reliable personal transportationMust meet Bray's Drivers Policy requirements, including background, physical, credit check, and proof of auto insuranceField-based role with frequent travel within the territory and to Houston, Texas occasionally for trainingMust be comfortable working independently and managing your own travel schedule and client interactionsBenefitsCompetitive Pay PlansComprehensive Benefits: Enjoy industry-leading benefits effective the first of the month after you have worked 30 days, including:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurancePaid holidays and vacation401(k) plan with matching contributionsHealthy Work Environment: We provide a smoke-free, drug-free workplace to ensure a safe and productive atmosphere for all employees.Career Growth: We are committed to your professional development, offering numerous opportunities for advancement within the organization.Company OverviewIn 1986 Bray International, Inc. was founded with one objective in mind, to become our customer’s global flow control partner.
