The Business Development Manager – Air Freight will identify and secure new customers while fostering strong relationships to drive growth and customer loyalty.ResponsibilitiesPursue and secure new Air Freight SME business in line with business objectivesIdentify customer needs and pain points, providing value-based solutionsBuild a strong understanding of target customers and develop a robust account baseEstablish and maintain in-person relationships to ensure Maersk is the provider of choiceCommunicate significant trends, rate changes, and policies to customersResearch and analyze global and local industry trends for Air FreightMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (Salesforce), ensuring a healthy sales pipelineCollaborate closely with the North America Air Freight Product organization to grow revenue and achieve targetsPartner with capacity and campaign managers to formalize commercial plans and maximize asset utilizationSkillsBachelor's degree or higherMinimum 3 years' experience in external sales within the International Air Freight industryProven ability in persuasive, value-based sellingStrong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (written and oral)Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry sales toolsExperience using CRM systems (Salesforce) and AI-driven sales tools (e.g., MS Copilot)Financial acumen to support value-based sales propositionsAbility to work under pressure while maintaining strategic focusBenefitsHealth InsurancePaid Time Off401k MatchCompany OverviewA.P.
