They are seeking a Business Development Manager to rebuild and run their BD function, emphasizing team leadership, AI-driven workflows, and strategic growth in a collaborative and innovative environment.ResponsibilitiesDirectly manage Business Development Representative(s) and oversee Showroom Coordinator alignment with outbound activityRun weekly 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and structured coaching sessions focused on rep skill developmentSet and hold team accountability to activity metrics, conversion benchmarks, and pipeline quality standardsOwn the Business Development–to–Account Executive handoff protocol — define qualification criteria, transition documentation, and conversion quality reviewsBuild onboarding and enablement frameworks so new hires ramp faster and execute more consistentlyImplement and coach the team on AI-driven prospecting workflows using tools such as Clay, Apollo.io, and Claude AI / Anthropic modelsUse AI synthesis to analyze prospect company reports, identify pain points, and develop highly tailored value propositions — and build repeatable frameworks so reps can do the sameMaintain a robust, data-driven pipeline within Salesforce with accurate team-level forecasting and stage hygieneDrive data hygiene standards across the team to ensure AI integrations provide reliable signal rather than noiseLead competitive account strategy — identify high-propensity accounts with incumbent vendor relationships and design displacement approaches with realistic timelinesUse intent data and AI insights to prioritize outreach and focus team effort on accounts most likely to convertExecute and oversee sophisticated multichannel sequences across LinkedIn, email, and phone, informed by engagement dataMonitor sequence performance at a team level, A/B test messaging, and use findings to continuously improve conversion ratesOperationalize the BD function by implementing standardized plays, sequences, and prospecting approaches, reducing variability in execution and improving overall pipeline qualityPartner with Marketing and Product to align outbound efforts with product roadmaps and inbound signalsReport team performance metrics to leadership with clear visibility into pipeline health, activity trends, and conversion by segmentSkills5–8 years in Business Development, with a minimum of 2 years in a team lead or management capacity — including hiring, onboarding, and developing BDRs or junior BD staffHands-on experience with modern AI-driven sales tools including hands-on workflow integration and coaching team members on the use of these tools is requiredProven track record of displacing incumbent vendors in competitive, long-cycle B2B environments (12+ months) — not just filling open needs. Must be able to speak specifically to how you identified the entry point, built the relationship, and converted the accountExperience building or meaningfully restructuring a BD team, including designing plays, onboarding frameworks, and rep accountability systemsPipeline ownership at a team level — has managed team metrics, run performance reviews, and held reps accountable to activity and conversion targets, not just personal quotaBD-to-Sales handoff experience — has designed or owned the qualification and transition process between outbound generation and account executives, with measurable impact on conversion qualityExperience using Clay, Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, or similar is preferredFamiliarity with Salesforce as a team management and forecasting tool, not just personal CRM hygieneExperience in design, creative services, branded environments, or adjacent B2B industries where the value proposition requires education, not just feature comparisonBenefitsThis is a fully remote working environment, however you must be available to work in AZ, CA, CO, FL, MD, MI, NC, OR, WA.Company OverviewBRAND I.D is a nationwide apparel designer and supplier providing trim design, development and delivery.
