[Remote] Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will support strategic growth initiatives across U.S. Government and defense sectors by identifying and advancing new business opportunities, driving customer engagement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.ResponsibilitiesSupport business development and growth strategy activities across DoD, Intelligence Community, civilian agency, and allied mission environmentsBuild and maintain qualified pipeline opportunities aligned to company growth prioritiesAssist with opportunity qualification, account planning, competitive analysis, and capture support activitiesDevelop and maintain customer and partner relationships across government and industry stakeholdersSupport proposal development, solution positioning, customer briefings, and executive presentationsCoordinate cross-functional efforts across engineering, operations, contracts, finance, and leadership teamsConduct market research and competitive intelligence activities to identify emerging mission and technology trendsMaintain CRM systems, pipeline forecasting, and opportunity tracking documentation with strong discipline and accuracySupport industry events, conferences, customer engagements, and strategic partnership activitiesContribute to development of growth strategies tied to SATCOM, secure connectivity, space systems, and mission-focused communications capabilitiesSkillsExperience in business development, capture, strategic sales, or growth-focused roles supporting government or defense-related customersFamiliarity with DoD, Intelligence Community, civilian agency, or allied government acquisition environmentsUnderstanding of government procurement lifecycle, contract vehicles, and customer engagement processesExperience supporting pipeline development, CRM management, opportunity tracking, and capture activitiesStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, finance, contracts, and leadership teamsFamiliarity with SATCOM, space systems, secure networking, managed communications, or mission-focused technology environmentsActive Secret clearance preferred; TS/SCI or ability to obtain and maintain desiredCompany OverviewSES Space & Defense is a space solutions company equipping governments with integrated, purpose-built satellite and connectivity solutions that deliver resilient, future-proof capabilities across every mission, landscape, and orbit.
