They are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities in the industrial gases sector, particularly within the Food and Beverage industry, while working collaboratively with regional sales teams.ResponsibilitiesAcquire new and grow existing customers in designated territory. Tasks include but not limited to prospecting, lead generation and qualification, market and customer strategy, business case development and analysis, proposal development and technology pricing recommendations, sales technical support, projects implementation and start up oversight. Efforts will result in profitable sales growth consistent with regional business objectivesConsistently identify, research and analyze likely markets or niches, regional and local economic/project activity, competition, evolving industry needs, product application and business opportunities. Initiate, structure, and implement market initiatives, growth campaigns, and associated customer communicationsMonitor competitive activity in the territory and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated. Understand financial, user/customer, internal operations, competitive advantage and Praxair technology portfolio value and differentiatorsEstablish and grow relationships with potential customers, industry consultants and vendorsKnow and cooperate with internal business partners including but not limited to sales, R&D, National BD, applications equipment, and customer service personnel. Utilize and leverage all available Linde resources to achieve goals. Participate with other business development personnel, key account and sales personnel in development of sales strategiesSkillsBachelor of Science DegreeMechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or other related engineering degrees are highly preferredMinimum 5 years' experience in relevant technical salesTechnical sales as it relates to Linde Gases is experience with selling or explaining value proposition of processing equipment, chemicals, or other physical products (including industrial gases) that have an impact on the customer's processMinimum 5 years' experience in a sales or business development functions in the Industrial Gases industryAbility to travel in the assigned territory up to 40% is requiredProven track record of acquiring and growing customer base, being resilient, and driving resultsTechnical sales to Food industry experienceFamiliarity with industrial gases applications in Food freezing and chilling processesTechnical/engineering savvy and value building skillsWell-developed commercial/business skillsBenefitsAnnual Incentive Potential Earnings: 40% to 90% of Base Salary.Company carHealth, dental, disability, and life insurancePaid holidays and vacation401(k) matchingPension benefitsEmployee discount programOpportunities for educational and professional growthCompany OverviewLinde is an engineering company that supplies industrial, process, and specialty gases.
