[Remote] Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will develop and maintain travel agency business relationships to achieve sales goals, implement marketing programs, and serve as a brand ambassador to enhance agency partnerships.ResponsibilitiesMaximize revenue and occupancy production in the designated accounts within the territorySource for new revenue opportunities and methods within assigned accounts including groups, FIT and New to Brand Sales to achieve established sales goalsRetain and manage business relationships for each travel agency and develop a personalized approach to help maximize agencies' profits. Generate ideas and strategies to actively participate in travel agency growthAssist with the development and implementation of an annual territory sales plan to ensure achievement of assigned goalsReview sales plan, accounts, promotional efforts and ROI quarterly with VP, Retail Sales to determine success; make adjustment to plan accordinglyCreate and execute promotional programs; provide promotional materials for agency partnersFully own the account relationship by facilitating their growth and resolving any challenges that ariseComplete weekly sales activity report in SalesForce, providing insightful competitive information for managementConduct seminars, familiarization cruises, cruise events, trade and consumer shows, etc. as neededRemain current on corporate information, policies, procedures, sales and marketing programsPerform other job-related functions as assignedSkillsBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and/or sales experienceMinimum 3 years sales experience, preferably in the travel industryStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include intermediate level skills with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and One NoteKnowledge of or ability with Salesforce.com, or related CRM (Customer Relation Management) and e-commerce channelsWorking knowledge of Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx or other related virtual platformAbility to build personal credibility by way of solid product knowledge, services, procedures, consistent follow-through and problem-solving skillsProven ability to implement contracts using superior negotiation and presentation skillsCreative abilities to develop a personal brand for selling unique cruise vacations and building relationships within assigned territoriesAbility to adapt to a quickly changing sales environment; ability to shift priorities per business and/or territory demandsPlanning skills for developing a sales strategy for assigned territoryInterpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-based environmentEffective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goalsCustomer-centric skills to foster and maintain business relationships and drive resultsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to travel 25% of your time within field sales territoryHold a valid state drivers' license and maintain a clean driving recordAbility to work evenings and/or weekendsAbility to bend and lift up to 30 lbs. to pack and transport marketing collateral to travel agents, with reasonable accommodationAbility to stand for long periods of time for presentations and provide walking tours for clients' onboard vessels, with reasonable accommodationCompany OverviewNorwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
