[Remote] Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining sales with key customers, establishing strong relationships, and optimizing account management.ResponsibilitiesFurther develop and demonstrate your ability to build and/or establish relationships with key account managers and end users within our major NSP accounts, with a focus on Insight and ZonesMeet or exceed sales and profit goals established by senior managementDevelop and execute upon business plans with Sr. National Account Manager, and/or Sales Director to meet those goalsExhibit strong leadership skills and motivate sales team to perform their duties in excellent fashionStrive to increase net sales by reducing Returns and Allowances where appropriateAssist Senior National Account Managers and Sales Directors with sales calls, pipeline management, and inventoryAssist in optimizing profitability on all sales and activities in the Business ChannelConduct sales and training meetings as required. Attend all required meetingsCollaborate with entire sales team including channel support and other BDR/BDMs to ensure best practices and information are shared to maximize results and achieve goalsAssist customers with all account related questions, issues, or concerns. Provide accurate, timely information to the customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, and quotesJoin in reviews of forecasting to gain insights and further develop understanding of processesAssist sales team with all account related questions, issues, and concernsConduct weekly reviews of sales, RMAs, returns & allowances (R&A), quotes, promotions, sell through, inventory management, turns, forecasts, and any other account activities that will impact financial results for the account(s), and report findings to Sr. National Account Manager and the Sales DirectorAnalyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales management and other departments as necessaryReview and analyze POS when & where available to gain actionable insight into regions where there is further opportunity for growthRecognize and escalate all critical issues regarding accounts and/or company policies to management immediatelyProvide customer recaps for all meetings and take a leadership role to ensure all action items are executed upon including delegation of assignments to channel support representativesReview and analyze daily sales and compare actual v. projected / plan results and be prepared to present that information when requestedProvide positive reinforcement and constructive criticism to team members and escalate any issues as they ariseTravel to tradeshows and customer sites as required. Depending on assignment, international travel may be requiredLearn and remain proficient on the Belkin product linesSkills3 - 5 years' experience in managing and selling to retail accounts1-3 years' experience in a sales and/or management capacity or equivalent position.
