[Remote] Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, supporting revenue growth, and executing business development strategies across the ArchKey platform.ResponsibilitiesSupports senior leadership in executing business development strategies aligned with company growth targetsActively engages in customer outreach, relationship development, and project pursuit efforts across multiple operating companies and geographiesBuilds and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, identifying opportunities to expand services and increase revenueSupports account planning and ensures consistent customer engagement across the platformIdentifies and qualifies new business opportunities through market research, networking, and direct customer interactionMaintains and actively manages a robust pipeline of opportunitiesCollaborates with marketing and internal stakeholders to support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accuracy, quality, and alignment with customer needsGathers and analyzes market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive data to inform pursuit strategies and contribute to business planning discussionsCoordinates with internal teams (Operations, Estimating, Marketing, and Leadership) to support pursuit strategies, ensuring alignment on messaging, value proposition, and delivery approachSupports account management efforts by maintaining regular communication with clients, tracking satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for repeat businessTracks and reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and key performance metricsMaintains accurate data in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systemsParticipates in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote ArchKey’s brand and expand professional networksAssists in the execution of the business development event calendar and supports marketing initiatives and campaignsProvides informal guidance or mentorship to less experienced team membersConsistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and othersUtilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activitiesPromotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the publicSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, marketing, construction management, or a related fieldMinimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, account management, sales, or marketing, preferably in the electrical construction or related industryDemonstrated experience supporting sales targets and managing multiple pursuits simultaneously with strong attention to detail and qualityAbility to read and interpret basic financial documents, contracts, and project-related materials (plans, drawings, specifications preferred)Experience supporting business development or marketing strategies and executing customer engagement plansWorking knowledge of CRM systems and proposal development processesStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with solid business acumenEffective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a matrixed organizationStrong collaboration skills and the ability to work across multiple operating companies, teams, and regionsSelf-motivated with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environmentBenefitsCompetitive health insurance options (medical, dental, and vision)A robust 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysAccess to wellness programsProfessional development opportunitiesTuition reimbursementEmployee assistance programs to support your growth and well-beingCompany OverviewArchKey Solutions is an electrical and technology construction firm.
