[Remote] Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding the customer base of the retail mortgage branch by developing strategic partnerships and implementing marketing initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, target, and develop new referral partner relationships with real estate agents, and other industry professionals within assigned territoryMaintain and develop client relationships with existing and new accountsFoster and strengthen existing relationships through regular in-person visits, consistent follow-up, and value driven communicationOrganize and conduct weekly face-to-face meetings with prospective and current referral partners to understand their needs and align servicesCollaborate with internal marketing and loan origination team to support referral partnersAttend local and regional real estate and mortgage related networking events, broker previews, trade shows, community engagements and real estate association meetingsRepresent the company professionally and strategically at industry events to build brand visibility and increase referral volumeEngage with attendees post-event to capitalize on business opportunitiesFollow up with leads, agents and referral sources to ensure business growth and referral partner event attendanceDesign and implement events to generate new business leads, including cold calling agents to ensure attendanceDesign and implement marketing campaigns to promote mortgage products and servicesDevelop client retention strategies and follow-up procedures such as outreach and thank you notesStay current on market trends, lending products, and local real estate activityAnalyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunitiesSet and achieve business development targets for sales growthProvide regular reports and activity tracker on business development activities and performance metricsUpdate the CRM to track and document outreach activity, follow-ups, and new relationship metricsBuild and maintain a growing list of target real estate agents, ensuring consistent engagement and outreachTravel locally as required to complete minimum number of face-to-face meetings with business partners and phone calls per weekSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent2+ years of business development or sales experience in the mortgage, real estate, or financial services industryExperience in an administrative or office management capacityExperience running meetings and facilitating projects and eventsProficiency in CRM softwareAdvanced networking and relationship-building skillsExcellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skillsSkilled at prioritizing and organization to manage multiple engagements weeklyProficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience maintaining a professional networkBenefitsCompetitive compensation planMedicalDentalVision401KCompany-provided short-term disabilityEmployee assistance programWellness programCompany OverviewBack in 2003, our founder and CEO, Ron Leonhardt, started CrossCountry Mortgage with one goal: become a nationwide mortgage lender that helps people with clear and fast home loans.
