The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, engaging with customers, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure successful product commercialization and revenue generation.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute go-to-market strategy across target industriesIdentify high-growth applications and build market intelligence frameworks, competitive benchmarking, and pricing strategyIdentify, and engage OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, value chain partners in target industryLead technical-commercial discussions with customers to align material capabilities with application requirementsCollaborate with engineering team to define applications specific material solutionsDevelop value propositions and differentiation strategies versus competing materialsOwn and deliver revenue targets for advanced materials portfolioMonitor KPIs including pipeline conversion, customer acquisition, and market penetrationAct as a commercial interface between engineering, manufacturing and customersProvide market feedback to guide product development roadmap and lead internal alignments on prioritiesCreate financial models, budgets, and forecasts for new business initiatives and oversee their financial performanceIdentify and mitigate potential risks associated with new opportunities and adapt strategies as neededAdditional assignments as deemed necessary by managementSkillsCollege degree – Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field from accredited University10+ years of experience in business development or technical sales in advanced materials or specialty polymers5+ years of experience in high-performance polymers such as PEEK/PEKK/PEK/PEI/PI/PPS etc, and their compounds and/or applications5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Medical device, Mobility, Semiconductor, E&E or CPI/Energy5+ years of demonstrated revenue generation through new business developmentTechnical & Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate technical performance into customer value proposition. Familiarity with polymer manufacturing processesMarket Research: Proficiency in market research techniques to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential gaps in the market or target applicationsStrategic Planning: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with the organization's goalsCustomer-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of customer applications and pain points.
