The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating revenue growth by identifying and closing new business opportunities in the in-store marketing space, while building relationships and ensuring high-quality execution of marketing initiatives.ResponsibilitiesProactively identify, generate and pursue new business and new logo opportunities with prospective retailers and brands for in store signage, display programs, seasonal merchandising, and POP campaignsDevelop and execute personalized outreach strategies (email, phone and social) to build relationships and generate qualified leadsBuild and maintain a robust top of funnel pipeline through continuous prospecting and lead generation activitiesAct as the primary driver of new account acquisition, ensuring a consistent flow of self sourced opportunitiesOwn and maintain an active, well balanced sales pipeline, ensuring every stage from prospecting to closing is accurately documented in the CRM system including stage, forecast, close probability, stakeholders and critical detailsEnsure sufficient pipeline coverage to meet or exceed sales targetsAdvance opportunities through the sales cycle by securing meetings, conducting discovery, curating and pitching tailored solutions, delivering proposals and driving clear next stepsIdentify and address pipeline gaps early, taking action to replenish or accelerate opportunities as neededLead opportunities from initial engagement through negotiation and close, ensuring a smooth and compelling buyer experiencePrepare and deliver curated presentations, persuasive proposals and business cases aligned to customer objectives and pain pointsNegotiate terms that drive revenue and margin while meeting customer needsConsistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales and revenue targetsProvide accurate sales forecasting and timely updates on deal progress to support business planningSkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and professional experience10+ years of experience in business development, field sales, or full cycle B2B selling, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition for in-store marketing campaignsDemonstrated success managing a full sales cycle, from prospecting, lead generation and discovery to pitching, proposing, negotiating and closingExperience building and maintaining a high quality sales pipeline across all stages: from prospecting, lead generation and discovery to pitching, proposing, negotiating and closing with consistent movement toward closeStrong background in selling to retailers, brands, CPG companiesExperience working with cross functional teams (design, estimating, scheduling and operations) to advance deals and deliver solutionsExperience presenting to senior leaders and decision makers, with the ability to build business cases and influence buying decisionsPrior success meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets consistently over multiple consecutive periodsMust have a proven sales record of accomplishment in business development preferably in the printing or retail display industryStrong proficiency in PowerPoint with ability to curate pitch content based on client pain points solved through Quad's solutionsStrong understanding of print processes (offset, digital, large format, finishing, and mailing preferred)Exceptional relationship management and customer service skillsAbility to manage multiple prospects at various stages with urgency and attention to detailConsultative selling mindset with strong problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in CRM systems and standard business softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsTrack record of building and maintaining strong customer relationshipsMust have excellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook requiredProven ability to work autonomously and maintain solid working relationships with clients and staffStrong print background with an understanding of interactive technologiesStrong organizational, verbal and written communication skillsBenefits401(k)HolidaysVacationsMoreCompany OverviewQuad is a marketing agency that helps brands reimagine their marketing to be streamlined and flexible.
