The Business Development Engineer role involves identifying and commercializing new business opportunities while managing a portfolio and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical-commercial challenges.ResponsibilitiesIdentify and advance new business opportunities in targeted North American marketsAnalyze value chains, competitive positioning, and market dynamics to support opportunity and new product developmentSupport strategic partnerships, including Joint Development Agreements (JDAs) and Joint Ventures (JVs), and represent Arkema with customers and at industry eventsShare market intelligence, customer insights, and opportunity updates with regional and global stakeholdersSkillsA Bachelor's degree in Engineering is neededAt least 6 years of relevant experience, with about 3 of those years being spent in an R&D, technical, or Business Development Engineer roleAbility to travel 40-50% of the time – mostly within North American, with occasional international travelEffective communication skills with customersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityAn advanced degreeExperience in the refinery, renewable energy, or petrochemical marketCompany OverviewArkema produces speciality chemicals.
