The role involves identifying and capturing new business opportunities, establishing relationships with DOE customers, and managing business development activities, particularly in the TN/SC area.ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, evaluates, and captures new business opportunities and establishing relationships with potential DOE customers and partnersInforms customers and partners of products and services that fit well with customer business needsEmphasis is to expand our portfolio across the DOE marketplace, with a focus on growing/expanding the Atkins presence at the Oak Ridge campus which includes ORNL, Y-12, UCOR, and OREMIdeally includes expansion of services at the Savannah River complexManages business development activities for DOE in support of the AtkinsRealis US Nuclear and captures new business in this market in the TN/SC area for both DOE and Commercial NuclearIdentifies new business opportunities through customer and industry contactsReports to the Sr Director of Business Development and assists with the growth strategy for assigned marketsBuilds successful business relationships by delivering a value proposition that is attractive to both customers and prospective business partnersDevelops, maintains and builds a strong professional network and customer relationshipsCoordinates company resources in the pursuit and capture of new workDevelops capture plans for specific targets that address opportunities, preferred approaches, competitive analyses and business fundamentalsIdentifies teaming partners, develops teaming agreements and obtains appropriate internal support and approvalsGathers market and customer intelligenceParticipates in strategic planning with leadership teamResponsible for the content of proposals developedManages and supports proposal activities in winning new contracts for the companyResponsible for obtaining necessary approvals (i.e., Business Development and Operations personnel with the appropriate level of signature authority) on all proposals prior to their submittalHandles proposal delivery to customers and interfaces with all customers on requests and issuesUnderstands, in broad terms, customer contracts and business planning activities.
