The Business Development Director will drive B2B growth in xenograft biomaterials across key clinical segments, leveraging their expertise to develop strategies and build client relationships.ResponsibilitiesProspect strategic targets with a focus on companies developing products utilizing xenograft biomaterials (fresh tissue, fixed tissue, and collagen), identifying opportunities aligned with our processing and manufacturing capabilitiesDevelop Key Account Strategies aligned to clients’ xenograft sourcing, processing, and commercialization needs, positioning Evergen as a strategic CDMO partnerBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and internal processesOrchestrate cross-functional collaboration (R&D, regulatory, and manufacturing) to develop and deliver customized xenograft-based solutionsTranslate xenograft platform capabilities (e.g., decellularization, fixation, collagen processing) into customer-specific value propositionsIdentify and shape opportunities where xenograft materials can replace or outperform alternative biomaterials, driving differentiation for customersLead negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for the company and high levels of client satisfactionMonitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and differentiationPrepare for and represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events to promote our capabilities and expand our client basePrepare and present regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance to senior managementLeverage CRM tools to maintain documentation of account planning, prospects, and pipeline developmentSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the medical device industry, including at least 2 years within a medical device CDMO environmentDeep understanding of xenograft biomaterials, including fresh tissue, fixed tissue, and collagen (fibrillar, solubilized, or formulated), and their applications in medical devicesExperience working with xenograft sourcing, processing, or manufacturing (e.g., decellularization, sterilization, or collagen processing)Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growthExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry eventsExperience with xenograft-based product development or commercialization within a CDMO or OEM environmentFamiliarity with regulatory and quality considerations specific to xenograft biomaterialsEstablished network of contacts within the medical device industryClinical expertise in focus market segments: Spine, Sports and Orthopedics, Cardiac, or Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeryBenefitsAnnual Corporate Incentive Plan Target: $130,000.00Competitive salary and benefits packageCompany OverviewEvergen provides biomaterial development, manufacturing, and donor tissue processing services.
