[Remote] Business Development Coordinator, West Coast

The Business Development Coordinator will focus on recruiting participants and building partnerships in the Western region to support the organization's mission and growth.ResponsibilitiesLead Birthright Israel recruitment efforts across the assigned regionConduct campus visits and regional recruitment initiatives throughout the yearBuild and strengthen relationships with Hillel's, Chabad’s, fraternities, student leaders, and Jewish organizations on campusOrganize and participate in tabling events, info sessions, and other outreach activities on campusesStrategically maximize recruitment efforts on campus by leveraging student networks, events, and partnershipsIdentify, recruit, and onboard student recruiters to support campus and community outreach effortsOrganize and facilitate training sessions/info sessions to equip recruiters with the necessary tools and knowledgeOversee the execution of recruitment initiatives by providing guidance and ensuring alignment with overall goalsBuild and maintain strong relationships with Jewish high schools, summer camps, and youth-serving organizations (e.g., BBYO) to generate interest in Birthright Israel opportunitiesActively engage with educators, camp directors, and youth leaders to introduce programs, provide recruitment resources, and create pipelines of prospective participantsOrganize and lead information sessions, presentations, and workshops tailored for teens and their families to ensure smooth transition into future Birthright tripsDevelop year-round communication strategies to nurture young leads and maintain visibility within these partner communitiesParticipate in and represent Birthright Israel at national events and conferencesWork collaboratively with the Director of Recruitment Growth to share the best practices and align strategies for each eventSkillsA strong commitment to connecting young Jews to Israel and their Jewish identityProven success in recruitment, community engagement, or program coordination, preferably within Jewish or university settingsDemonstrated ability to organize and execute successful eventsStrong interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and community partnersExperience with Salesforce or similar CRM platformsWillingness to travel regionally and nationally, with some trips requiring weekend workCandidates must be based in CaliforniaBenefitsComprehensive medical insuranceVision insuranceDental insurance403(b) plan, which includes a 5% salary match that vests over the first 5 years of employmentGenerous sick timeAnnual personal daysA work calendar offering time off for Jewish and secular holidaysCompany OverviewTaglit-Birthright Israel offers the gift of a free trip to Israel .
