[Remote] Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate is responsible for generating new business opportunities through targeted outreach, managing a limited territory of small biotech accounts, and supporting Business Development Managers and Directors in lead nurturing and the sales cycle.ResponsibilitiesSupport BD Managers and Directors with lead nurturing, while developing and owning the sales cycle for a limited territory of small biotech accountsOutbound & pipeline generation (~60% of time)Execute high-quality outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate net-new opportunitiesBalance scaled campaigns with targeted, personalized outreach aligned to BD territory/account plansPartner with BDs and marketing to:Identify priority accounts, personas, and key stakeholdersDevelop tailored messaging for high-value prospectsOwn outreach performance metrics (open rates, reply rates, meetings booked, SQL conversion)Contact enrichment and CRM support (~20% of time)Review and qualify marketing leads in contact recordsEnrich contact dataEnter new contacts and companies as they are discovered during outbound researchDevelop and manage a territory of small biotech accounts (~20% of time)Drive self-identified opportunities through the pipeline to close new businessOwn the sales process of discovery, demo, proposal and negotiation with support from leadershipDeliver clear, confident, and structured value propositions tailored to specific personasHandle basic objections and position QuartzBio solutions effectivelyEvent and campaign supportDrive meeting generation and attendance for conferences, summits and webinarsPartner with BDs to set pre-event meetings with target accountsExecute targeted follow-up campaigns post-event to convert interest into pipelineAttend events in-person as requiredData-driven workflows and data hygieneMaintain complete, accurate, and centralized tracking of all activities within HubspotEnsure full visibility into activity, performance, and pipeline contributionRegularly report on: Outreach activity , conversion rates and pipeline contributionAnalyze performance data to optimize outreach strategiesTrack team performance metrics, report insights to leadership, and implement data-driven improvementsLeverage AI-driven strategies to optimize workflows and time managementDemonstrate ownership and initiative by operating as a self-starter, not a task executorDemonstrate initiative, accountability, and problem-solving in all aspects of the roleContinuously improve sales and prospecting best practices, and stay up to date with emerging technologiesSkillsBachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or related field2 to 3 years of sales hunting experience selling SaaS solutions to pharma and biotech industriesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentAttention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workAbility to articulate ideas and write clear and concise reportsDemonstrated experience with consultative sales approach, developing and qualifying prospect lists and making presentations to prospective clients to explain the business' products and services and their alignment with client needsExperience in SaaS-based products and well-versed in CRM systems, has strong experience in virtual communication platforms, and demonstrates a polished and professional presenceExecute time-sensitive matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailTeam player willing to collaborate and share knowledgeAbility to work independently, manage time and create plans to achieve personal goalsAbility to think creatively and strategically and act tactically in a dynamic environmentMust be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical levelWilling to travel up to 10%Must possess a valid driver's license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive inAble to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight staysCompany OverviewQuartzBio is a life science technology company delivering connected sample and biomarker intelligence for clinical-stage biopharma.
