[Remote] Business Configuration Analyst (Collections Applications)

The Business Configuration Analyst role involves identifying and defining systems and business line needs, coordinating development and support for applications, and acting as a liaison between business units and IT to enhance productivity and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesServes as a liaison between IT, software vendors and the business line to analyze business and user needs, document requirements and resolve moderately complex system problemsPossesses a broad understanding of business systems and industry requirementsOversees enhancements in order to maintain productivity and efficiency. Guides and trains less experienced analysts through project workManages multiple business line project lists/project teams, from managing projects/process, system configuration, testing, implementation while meeting all deadlines assigned to the projectPossesses a solid knowledge base of multiple business lines, including the business plans, products, processes and revenue streamsPlays a key role in the planning, testing and implementation of new products, system enhancements and conversions. Ensures system enhancements follow the appropriate change management guidelines, meet or exceed user requirements and are completed in a timely fashionMay act as project leader role for projectsLeads the research and resolution of system issues. Partners with lines of business and the technical areas in the research and resolution of system and process problemsWorks with users in defining user, system and project requirements for new systems, new products and system enhancementsIdentifies system enhancements, documents business needs and determines development impact to current system processing. Works with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of process improvement/automationCompletes system configurationsIdentifies, researches and analyzes production problems, develops solutions and resolves problemsReviews operational procedures and methods and recommends changes for improvement, with an emphasis on automation and efficiencyProvides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, procedures, target dates and other aspects of assigned projectsProvides guidance and context in prioritizing and determining complexity of problems and requestsInfluences leaders and peers across organizational lines to take action on strategic initiatives or process changesEstablishes the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby team members exchange ideas / suggestions and share informationReports regularly on progress against established project plansMaintains manuals, standard business and status reports, technical training material and reference materialPerforms aspects of Project Management including but not limited to Approval gathering, Readiness Assessments, and other artifacts and controlsSkillsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum four (4) years work experience in banking, financial services or related experienceMinimum two (2) years of project management experienceProven Leadership experience in areas of Operations, Manufacturing or QualityPossesses a broad understanding of business systems and industry requirementsAbility to present to senior leadership on sensitive subject mattersAbility to facilitate large groups toward the development of common solutionsExceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication skillsAbility to multi-task and be flexibleAbility to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environmentProficient in Windows based software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio)Six Sigma Green Belt or PMP preferredBenefitsIn addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.Our extensive benefits programs are designed to support the individual needs of our employees and their families, encompassing physical, financial, emotional and social well-being.Company OverviewFifth Third Bancorp is a financial services company that specializes in small business, retail banking, and investments.
