[Remote] Business Analyst I

The Business Analyst I supports customer implementations, data conversions, and related projects for C/NET Solutions, managing assigned projects and providing technical support to customers.ResponsibilitiesLead customer onboarding, implementation, and related project activities for CNExT, CAS, and associated solutionsCoordinate customer data conversions, software setup, installations, and transition activitiesReview customer results, identify issues, and support resolution of implementation and system concernsSupport customers with CAS updates, configuration changes, and related enhancement workProvide training, guidance, and technical support throughout implementation and post-go-live supportCollaborate with customer technical staff to ensure successful deployment and ongoing use of CNExT and CAS solutionsCreate and maintain technical and training documentation for conversions, CAS, software installation, and updatesContribute ideas and write articles for the e/notes newsletter as assignedManage and execute customer database migrations from Microsoft Access to SQL Server, including testing and installation supportManage and execute database merges from single-hospital to multi-hospital environments, including testing and installation supportManage medical record number conversion projectsProvide query specifications to Programming, test results, and support implementation as neededManage shared follow-up file projects with state and central registries, including format testing and staff trainingProvide frontline support and initial training for project-related workManage other customer-requested projects as assignedSupport CNExT and CAS softwareProvide CNExT and CAS trainingAssist technical support staff with complex issues as level 2 supportParticipate in routine testing of CNExT and CAS productsDocument and report testing results to management and programming staffReview metafiles provided by standards-setting organizations and incorporate applicable updates into the softwareDocument and communicate required software changes from standards-setting organizations to the Programming departmentUpdate and convert PDFs and standards resource materials into standardized CHM help files for incorporation into CNExT software, as neededAccess to Protected Health Information. This role requires access to Protected Health Information and compliance with all C/NET Solutions and Public Health Institute confidentiality and HIPAA policiesMaintain an active Oncology Data Specialist–Certified (ODS-C) credentialOccasionally work more than 40 hours per week, including weekendsWork outside C/NET Solutions business hours as neededPerform other duties as assignedSkillsMaintain an active Oncology Data Specialist–Certified (ODS-C) credentialBachelor's degree in computer science, business management, or a related field; or substitute with four years of related experience; or relevant technical certification with 2 years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of CNExT functions, including data entry, reporting, and import/export proceduresExperience using helpdesk and ticketing systemAbility to analyze complex cancer registry data during conversion reviews and recommend correctionsKnowledge of cancer registry standards and practices, including ACoS, NAACCR, SEER, state registry requirements, and international reporting requirementsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and lead projects to completionStrong SQL Server administration and SQL programming skillsProficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, text editors, compression or encryption software, and helpdesk softwareStrong organizational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of internet applications such as VPN and Remote Desktop ConnectionAbility to work under pressure and train peersCreative and solution-oriented approach to problem-solvingCompany OverviewPublic Health Institute offers programs and services that aim to promote health, well-being, and quality of life It was founded in 1964, and is headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia, USA, with a workforce of 501-1000 employees.
