[Remote] Business Analyst

PMO Partners, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to partner with stakeholders and drive the successful intake, definition, and prioritization of business initiatives. The role focuses on improving project readiness by ensuring requests are clear, complete, and aligned with strategic goals before entering the delivery pipeline.ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to ensure project requests are well-defined, complete, and actionableFacilitate early discussions to clarify needs, expectations, and desired outcomesEnsure alignment of project requests with organizational goals and strategic prioritiesDesign, build, and continuously refine a project intake framework/form that captures critical information required for evaluation and prioritizationStandardize intake processes to enable objective comparison and informed decision-makingEnsure all submissions meet quality standards before review and prioritizationElicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements early in the project lifecycleTranslate stakeholder needs into clear, structured requirements and supporting documentationEnsure requirements are complete, validated, and ready for development teams before backlog entryProactively identify missing information, assumptions, dependencies, and potential risksEvaluate feasibility and highlight constraints before project execution beginsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve gaps and mitigate risks earlyContinuously enhance the intake, planning, and pre-delivery processes to improve efficiency and clarityRecommend and implement best practices to streamline project readiness and reduce reworkEnable smoother transitions from request intake to execution by improving upstream qualitySkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead capacityStrong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder managementProven ability to manage project intake and prioritization processesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environmentsExperience designing or improving intake frameworks, governance models, or PMO processesFamiliarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platformsCertification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalentExperience working in the legal industry or with legal operations is a plus, but not requiredCompany OverviewPMO Partners is a niche staffing firm based out of Massachusetts, with 20 years of experience in the recruitment and management of Project Management professionals.
