The Business Analyst role involves contributing to process improvement and business transformation projects for healthcare clients, collaborating with clients to identify business needs, and participating in system implementations and optimizations.ResponsibilitiesContribute to process improvement and business transformation projects for Baker Tilly’s healthcare clients including healthcare payers and providersCollaborate with clients and internal teams through discovery sessions and interviews to identify, understand and translate business needs, processes and challenges into effective process documentation and requirementsDefine key processes and capabilities to develop deliverables like process maps, capability definitions, or reporting inventoriesParticipate in various phases of system implementations or optimizations which may include supporting client engagements with: Design definition, System and acceptance testing and validation activities that solutions meet client needs, Data mapping, migration and integration efforts, Support for defect tracking, assessment, and categorization, Post go-live supportSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, computer science, management information systems, healthcare, public health, or related fieldMinimum of one (1) years of related experience; previous healthcare industry and consulting experience preferredFlexibility to travel to client site as needed and work outside of normal business hours due to client demandsDemonstrate management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) requiredSelf-motivation, organization, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skillsAbility to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies, see the 'big picture' as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projectsProject experience with full lifecycle application development (e.g. requirements gathering, use case development, system analysis and design, integration, testing, deployment)Data experience, e.g. familiarity with relational databases and SQL is preferredExperience with software testing tools and methodologies is preferredBusiness analysis tools and methodologies is preferredFamiliarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and best practices is preferredExperience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is preferredProcess automation capabilities is preferredPractical experience with healthcare, e.g. in work for providers or insurance companies is preferredBenefitsBaker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.Company OverviewAt Baker Tilly, we care about you and the impact you make.
