[Remote] Building Controls Project Manager - Mission Critical

The Building Controls Project Manager is responsible for supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects by managing Controls systems in Mission Critical facilities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and schedule adherence.ResponsibilitiesManage Controls integration design process, contract document review, and field implementationKey member of the commissioning team as it pertains to ControlsAct as a McCarthy liaison with owner’s commissioning agent, owner, and Controls subcontractors throughout duration of the project to ensure Controls systems are commissioned correctly and on scheduleAssist in schedule development for all Controls start-up, test & balance, BMS/EPMS, commissioning and related activitiesWork with superintendents on project logistics and temporary facility requirements for your assigned subcontractorsReview and approve material and equipment for Controls systems prior to installation, monitoring the installation and start-up of systemsCommunicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed, representing McCarthy at weekly owner's meetingsOversee the manufacturer’s installation and operation verification, as well as vendor equipment control coordination/submittal reviewOversee Controls Systems review, coordination, system start-up/checkoutResponsibilities related to participating in and supporting the preconstruction effort for Controls scopes on Mission Critical projectsSkills7+ years' experience in Construction/Controls design and coordinationGeneral knowledge of construction and design principles/practices requiredThorough knowledge of all mechanical, plumbing, medium and low-voltage electrical systemsGeneral understanding of Building and Electrical Codes as they relate to constructionExperienced working with Controls subcontracts and subcontractorsBachelors degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferredMission Critical experience highly preferredBenefitsTravel subsistence and additional incentives provided per company guidelines.Possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation.Company OverviewWith 160 years spent collaborating with partners to solve complex building challenges on behalf of its clients, McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
