About the Role We are hiring a Remote Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of assigned clients. This role involves full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and proactive client communication. You’ll be the go-to accounting resource for each client you support. Responsibilities • Perform monthly close for assigned clients, including: • Categorizing transactions • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts • Posting journal entries and accruals • Delivering monthly financial statements • Process Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll as needed • Communicate with clients to resolve questions and clarify financials • Use Keeper (our practice management software) to manage tasks and deadlines Requirements • Applicants must be U.S. residents and located within the Eastern Time Zone. Candidates outside the U.S. or Eastern Time Zone will not be considered. • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online • Knowledge of GAAP and monthly close processes • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts • Comfortable with remote work and cloud-based tools Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Xero, Zoho Books, or other cloud-based accounting platforms • Familiarity with Keeper (practice management tool for accountants) • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification • Experience with Bill.com, Gusto, or similar bill pay/payroll platforms Benefits • Flexible remote work environment • Paid holidays • Long-term client assignments • Collaborative and supportive team culture • Growth opportunities in a rapidly expanding firm How to Apply: If you are located in the United States Eastern time zone submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest and relevant experience.
