[Remote] Blow Molding Multi-Site Process Engineer

Plastic Executive Recruiters is seeking a Process Engineer specialized in Blow Molding to support large-format extrusion blow molding operations. The role involves optimizing multi-layer IBCs and plastic drums, troubleshooting processing issues, and developing advanced programming capabilities.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Hands-on troubleshooting and optimization of extrusion blow molding processes
ā¢ Work with multi-layer structures including EVOH, Nylon, PCR, and up to 6-layer configurations
ā¢ Adjust and refine linear and circumferential parison programming including PWCS control and mandrel thickness management
ā¢ Support PLC-driven process control upgrades and controller conversions
ā¢ Lead root cause analysis for quality, scrap, and performance deviations
ā¢ Develop and standardize process windows and operating parameters across multiple plants
ā¢ Train operators and maintenance teams on optimized processing standards
ā¢ Partner with reliability and maintenance teams on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting
ā¢ Replicate best practices across the plant network
Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of direct extrusion blow molding processing experience required
ā¢ Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC-controlled equipment
ā¢ Experience with parison programming and thickness control systems
ā¢ Comfortable working in a multi-plant environment with 50-75% travel
ā¢ Background in IBCs, plastic drums, fuel tanks, or similar large-format blow molded products preferred
