They are seeking a BIM Consultant - Electrical to support BIM initiatives, improve workflows, and assist clients with technical support and software solutions.ResponsibilitiesSupporting BIM initiatives through training, technical support, software deployment, and template and content creationAssessing, investigating, and understanding clients' business needsImproving BIM workflows by identifying, demonstrating and integrating AEC software solutions such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction CloudWorking alongside clients to identify opportunities for improvement and achieving business goalsAssisting Client BIM teams with Technical SupportCommunicating feedback and recommendations post service deliveryGrowing and maintaining respected, long-term, trusted advisor relationships with customers and other members of the Symetri teamAssisting Symetri projects, which include 3D modeling, software automation, coordinating clash detection, assembling electronic document handovers, and data-gathering for building owners' asset management initiativesPerform quality control checks on electrical BIM deliverables to ensure accuracy and complianceDocument workflows, modeling decisions, and coordination logs for project traceabilityMaintain documentation and version control of BIM models and datasets throughout project phasesField PLD tasks from Clients ensuring layout is based on industry best practice and in alignment with the clients expectation for their means and methodsSupport the Sr. Electrical BIM Lead or Manager in project planning, resource allocation, and reporting tasks as neededMentor junior team members on BIM best practices, model integrity, and interdisciplinary coordinationServe as an internal electrical BIM subject matter expert (SME)Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM practices through research, tool customization, and knowledge sharingProvide feedback and suggestions to improve internal tools, plug-ins, and processesSkillsUnderstanding of Electrical design processes and systems and the constructability of those systemsAt least 3 years of experience using Autodesk Revit supporting designers and construction teams in the MEP disciplinesDemonstrated and recent direct experience with the process, workflow and use of Autodesk Revit and including interoperability with other analysis software from conceptual design through constructionBachelor's degree in MEP Engineering, or equivalent design or BIM management experienceIndustry accreditations preferredBenefitsGenerous and flexible time off (FTO), plus eight paid holidaysGroup health insurance with nominal employee contributionEmployer-paid short- and long-term disability coverageAccess to optional benefits through a cafeteria plan, including dental, vision, life insurance, wellness reimbursement program, and other supplemental benefitsEmployer match of employee HSA contributions, dollar-for-dollar up to the IRS limit401(k) with company match of up to 4% of base salaryCompany OverviewSymetri creates and provides technology solutions and services for design, engineering, construction and manufacturing businesses.
