Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Billing Department Manager to develop and implement team goals, workflows, and claim management processes
Compile, review, and analyze 837 claims for accuracy and compliance prior to submission
Investigate and resolve denials, rejections, and billing errors, ensuring timely and effective follow-up
Communicate with clients, providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries and issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily posting reconciliation and 835 ERA compilation
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree or certification in medical billing preferred
Minimum 6 years of experience in medical billing and claims processing, with prior experience in a mental health setting a plus
Intermediate computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in Netsmart (Avatar) a plus
Advanced interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Prior knowledge of billing, HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 codes, with ability to stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulations
