• Review dental procedures and patient records to assign appropriate CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) codes accurately.
• Ensure proper documentation of medical records, including treatment notes, diagnoses, and billing information within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, insurance policies, and compliance regulations to ensure accurate billing practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation discrepancies or incomplete records for precise coding.
• Perform audits of coded data to verify accuracy and identify areas for process improvement.
• Manage medical billing workflows efficiently, ensuring timely submission of claims and collections while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related healthcare administrative role with a focus on dental or outpatient services.
• Strong proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems, DRG classifications, and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for documentation and billing processes.
• Knowledge of medical records management and compliance standards within healthcare settings.
• Prior experience working remotely is preferred but not required; excellent self-motivation and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately and translate it into correct codes for billing purposes. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.94 - $28.83 per hour
