[Remote] Bilingual Collections Specialist

This role involves collecting debt on previously issued company loans through outbound and inbound calls in both Spanish and English, while adhering to established KPIs and providing professional customer service.ResponsibilitiesMonitor overdue accounts as assigned by supervisorRecord information about the financial status of customers and status of collection effortsLocate and notify customers by telephone on delinquent and charged-off accountsAdhere to a structured waterfall of settlement options while negotiating within that approval matrixConfer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and to review the terms of the original loanAdvise customers of necessary actions and strategies for debt repaymentPerform various administrative functions for assigned accounts, such as recording address and phone number changes and other detailed notes regarding account detailsPersuade customers to pay amounts due and establish repayment schedules, based on customer’s financial situationsScan and update documents into operating system as neededReview emails and forward all documents to the appropriate departments and/or personnelAdhere to established KPIsSkillsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)One year of previous collections experience requiredBilingual English/SpanishMust reside in KS, MO, or OKAbility to work evenings and weekendsAbility to handle multiple tasksAbility to problem solveAbility to adapt to unexpected changesAbility to maintain accuracy and attention to detailAbility to demonstrate reliability and dependabilityAbility to understand customer perspectivesAbility to face difficult conversations with confidenceBenefitsShift differential during those hoursAll necessary computer equipment is provided by the CompanyCompany OverviewCaliber Financial Services is a tribe-chartered company that provides portfolio management service and customized fintech solutions.
