The role involves processing renewals, conducting analyses, and providing technical support for fully-insured and self-funded accounts.ResponsibilitiesInitiates recurring analyst renewal projects on assigned accounts (pre-renewal spreads, carrier renewal process initiation, information requests, etc.); Gathers, reviews and validates all information related to assigned clients for renewal analysis and marketing purposes, gaining comprehensive familiarity with client’s current details and historyEvaluates carrier utilization reporting to identify key cost drivers and make recommendations for possible plan design changesCoordinates and assists in renewal challenges (underwriting)Creates new financial reporting package from templates as neededConducts provider network comparison analysis (access disruption analysis)Coordinates with account team to understand strategy for client renewal and define roles and responsibilities. Revisits throughout the renewal development process, outlining renewal project action items, including all deadlinesCollaborates with all current insurance carriers and vendors to obtain preliminary and/or firm renewals and prepares initial financial summary and benefit highlightsPresents preliminary renewal summaries and marketing results to account team to determine plan options and/or marketing strategy; works with account team to develop and execute negotiation strategyPresents all final results to account team; determines content and structure of renewal presentation and identifies analytical support materials (i.e.; utilization review, contribution strategy, benchmarking, financial reporting, etc.)Executes all relevant plan option requests, marketing projects and necessary analysis to complete account strategy objectivesReviews all marketing and plan option responses, evaluates for accuracy and completeness, and requests clarifications and revisions as neededHandles ongoing (monthly/quarterly) client maintenance projects as determined by account teamReviews team members work for accuracy and completeness as neededComplies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)Other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne (1) or more years related work experienceValid insurance license (or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment)Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewalBasic knowledge of compliance topics (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, Medicare)Basic knowledge of programs (know of existence and how to get a quote)Knowledge of all major fully-insured and self-funded lines of benefits insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability, EAP)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Power Point, and OutlookIntermediate skills in Microsoft ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent problem solving and time management skillsGood customer service skills, including telephone and listening skillsExcellent planning, organizational and prioritization skillsAbility to work within a team and to foster teamworkAbility to work productively as an individual to accomplish assigned projectsAbility to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlinesDegree in Business or Mathematics preferredSalesforce experience preferredBenefitsComprehensive, high quality employee programs to meet employees’ needs now and in the futureVery competitive financial packageCompany OverviewAlliant Insurance Services is a distributor of diversified insurance products and services.
