They are seeking experienced Banner Student Consultants to assist institutions in optimizing their student information systems, focusing on configuring the Banner Student module and providing hands-on support and training for effective system adoption.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with clients to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Banner® StudentConfigure and implement Banner® Student, ensuring that it meets the institution’s needs for student registration, academic records, grading, advising, and other student lifecycle management functionsProvide hands-on configuration, customization, and troubleshooting support for Banner® StudentDevelop and document best practices, workflows, and standard operating procedures for using Banner® StudentAssist with system testing, including data migrations, integrations, and post-implementation supportDeliver training sessions to end-users, including staff and faculty, to ensure smooth system adoptionProvide ongoing support and system maintenance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues as they ariseStay current with updates and new features in Banner® Student and provide recommendations for improvements and optimizationsWork with cross-functional teams, including technical teams and business stakeholders, to ensure integration with other systems and alignment with institutional goalsAssist in report generation and analytics related to student data, enrollment, and performanceHelp institutions navigate compliance with data privacy and security standardsSkillsFive or more years working directly with the Banner® Student functionality at a college or university or as a Banner® consultant, demonstrating advanced user proficiencyExperience implementing Banner® Student at a college or universityDemonstrated expertise using Banner® Student to improve and automate business processes within the Registrar's, Admissions, or Records office at a college or universityAbility to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within Banner® StudentExceptional oral and written communication skills and a proven customer service approachHighly self-directed with solid problem-solving expertiseThe ability to travel up to 50% of the timeExperience developing reports in support of the various student areasAbility to communicate user requirements to the technical support teamKnowledge of how Banner® is used in a variety of institutional typesExperience with Ellucian Cloud Services and related technologiesThorough knowledge of relational databasesAbility to read and write SQL queriesEllucian Banner® BadgesFamiliarity with California Community College Banner® (CALB) or Texas Connection Consortium (TCC) Banner® functionalityUnderstanding of data integrations and touchpoints with Banner® StudentBenefitsHealth, Vision, Dental & Life InsuranceShort & Long Term DisabilityPaid Parental Leave3-Weeks Vacation, Sick Leave & Paid Holidays401(K) with a 5% Employer ContributionPet InsuranceBonusFlexible scheduling based on your needsWeekly hours vary depending on project needs and assignments can be flexibleCompany OverviewHigher education is complicated enough.
