[Remote] Azure ML Architect / Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Resource 1, Inc. is seeking an Azure ML Architect / Consultant for a contract position. The role involves assessing current predictive modeling workflows and designing an Azure-based ML architecture to enhance model scoring, deployment, and integration with Salesforce, while also providing training and documentation to the internal team.ResponsibilitiesAssess existing predictive models, local workflows, and data sources and document architectural requirementsRecommend Azure ML architecture and specific Azure services required based on best practicesProvide guidance and documentation for deployment, monitoring, and cost forecasting of Azure ML workloadsAdvise on data pipeline design from Oracle to Azure and patterns to integrate scored outputs into SalesforceDeliver training, demos, and knowledge transfer to internal team members and produce runbooksDevelop a plan and assist with configuration/setup of the Azure environment and subscription considerationsSupport a proof-of-concept migration of one model to Azure as a template for future modelsAdvise on hosting options for custom self-service web apps and containerization strategiesSkillsProven experience designing and deploying Azure ML solutions and ML operationalizationDeep knowledge of Azure services (Azure ML, Data Factory or Pipelines, compute and storage) and cost driversExperience building or advising on data pipelines from Oracle or similar data warehouses into cloud environmentsFamiliarity with integrating ML outputs into Salesforce (including MuleSoft or other integration patterns)Strong ability to produce documentation, runbooks, training materials, and conduct knowledge transferExpertise in monitoring, governance, security, and permissions for Azure ML workloadsExperience with Azure OpenAI / LLM integrations and governance for AI usageHands-on experience hosting web applications on Azure (AKS, containers, App Service) for self-service toolsPrior experience in higher education or nonprofit analytics environmentsCompany OverviewResource 1 is a privately held national consulting firm established in 1982 with Corporate Headquarters and Technology Center in Oak Brook, Illinois.
