[Remote] Azure Data Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Azure Data Engineer to join their Information Technology Team. This role will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data platforms on Azure, working closely with business and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable data platforms using Azure (ADLS, Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric)Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric pipelines, notebooks (PySpark/Spark SQL), and Azure Integration Services (ADF, Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus)Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and Lakehouse design patternsDevelop and maintain data models (dimensional, star/snowflake where applicable)Integrate data from heterogeneous sources (ERP, APIs, flat files, streaming sources, MDM/PIM systems)Develop data processing solutions for large-scale structured and unstructured datasetsEnable Power BI datasets and semantic models to support reporting and analyticsImplement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub, RepoEnsure data quality, governance, lineage, and security using tools such as Microsoft PurviewCollaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsLead performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of data pipelines and queriesLeading cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including legacy system transitions (SSIS, Tabular, Multidimensional cubes)Drive adoption of modern data architecture principles and best practicesCollaborate with team members and contribute to establishing
