As a Cloud Engineer I, you will build, support, and optimize secure cloud environments that enhance patient care and drive digital transformation across the organization.ResponsibilitiesAssist with application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deploymentDevelop an understanding of cloud architecture across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, network management, storage and data access management and cloud securitySupport solutions architecture for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and other cloud servicesDevelop knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, elastic scalability)Participate in analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining moderately complex systems that greatly improves clinical care and patient managementSupport system testingDocument testing outcomesWork to develop technical solutionsWork to design, write, and prepare complete user and technical documentationAnalyze existing documentation and provide corrections and enhancementUtilizes Development lifecycle process, operating procedures and documentation to implement and support system solutionsParticipate in providing technical support and problem resolution assistance for production and process issuesTroubleshoot and decipher error messagesIdentify required resources to resolve minor to midsized issuesUtilizes appropriate Change Control methods to implement system solutionsServe as a resource person for and as a liaison between Cincinnati Children's departments and Information ServicesSupport departmental efforts to improve customer satisfactionEvaluate and monitor system performance and functionality to avoid potential issues as well as gathering information for future development needs or feasibility studiesParticipate in on-call support rotation and handle incident resolution, problem determination and resolution during that timeDevelop knowledge and professional skills through cross-training, literature and attendance at department meetings and vendor educationDevelop and maintain positive relationships, both internal and external to CCHMCMotivate people and encourage teamworkWork well with others and fosters a positive team environmentPrepare oral and written presentationsConduct and participate in instructional seminarsDevelop expertise in several Cincinnati Children's computer-based systemsPerform other duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience0+ years of work experience in a related job disciplineFamiliarity with the following Azure services: Entra ID, Azure Database Service, Azure VMs, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, Azure MonitorFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and principlesFamiliarity with CICD and DevOps concepts and principlesCompany OverviewCincinnati Childrenโs, a nonprofit academic medical center established in 1883, offers services from well-child care to treatment for the most rare and complex conditions.
