They are seeking a Senior AWS Healthcare Cloud Engineer to assist clients with the design, implementation, and management of AWS public cloud services, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of solutions.ResponsibilitiesSupport small and medium businesses with their adoption of AWS’s public cloud including complex areas like data analytics, AI, ML, and containersWork with clients to understand their requirements and architect suitable solutionsWork with the Sales team to articulate key benefits of Hosting and Cloud technology to clientsKeep up to date on technology innovation within AWS’s many servicesArchitect, deploy & maintain Cloud solutions including a variety of services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)Lead customer design efforts to ensure technology appropriately meets business needsEnsure proper integration between a customer’s software applications and infrastructure architectureEnsure solutions are maintained for high availability, scalability, security, and supportabilityOversee information systems security safeguards for these cloud solutionsDevelop detailed implementation plans for implementing cloud solutions including establishing key milestones and finalizing budget/scopeAssist with executing system validation and preparing the organization for transitionCreation of Infrastructure-as-Code to automate client deployments and increase repeatabilityContributing to the creation of Statement of Work (SOW) documentsSkillsHealthcare experience is required for this role!6+ years of experience in a solutions architect or similar role; 4+ years focused on cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures2+ years of healthcare IT related experienceDegree in any related field or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloudExperience supporting both Microsoft and Open-Source operating systemsUnderstanding of hybrid cloud environmentsHands on experience with establishing net new/green field cloud environmentsExperience with the full life cycle of a cloud migrationExperience with architecture and automation of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability including virtual networks, virtual machines, cloud services, web sites, data services, RDS, etcAdvanced skills diagnosing and resolving issues independently and as part of a teamExperience with Continuous Deployment, Automation, Chef, Puppet, with Open-Source tools (e.g., Jenkins) and DevOpsUnderstanding of cloud-based data analytics solutionsA passion for leveraging technologyAWS Architect certifications would be a plus!Experience using, deploying, or operating Epic (roles like ECSA, ODBA, etc.)Experience with other Clouds like Azure and GCP in a plusStrong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud networking architectureExperience with SaaS/Cloud protection solutions (e.g., CASB)Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systemsInformation systems security certification (e.g. Security +, CISSP)Experience with consulting engagementsKubernetes/AKS experienceHPC experienceAI/ML ExperienceExperience with Healthcare Applications and enterprise EHRs is plusCompany OverviewOptimum Healthcare IT provides consulting, staffing, and digital transformation services tailored to healthcare organizations.
