[Remote] AWS Cloud Engineer with Terraform
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in Terraform and GitLab. The role involves automating the provisioning and management of cloud resources in AWS, focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Automating the provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management of cloud resources across an AWS environment
ā¢ Designing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
ā¢ Architecting and refining GitLab CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment workflows
ā¢ Embedding security and compliance checks into deployment pipelines
ā¢ Leveraging advanced features of GitLab for GitOps workflows
ā¢ Utilizing monitoring and resource tagging strategies within Terraform
ā¢ Automating custom tasks and integrating with APIs using scripting languages
Skills
ā¢ Need active security clearance OR prior federal Agency work experience
ā¢ Deep understanding of Terraform
ā¢ Experience with Terraform state management (local, remote, Terraform Cloud)
ā¢ Advanced proficiency with GitLab for code hosting and CI/CD pipeline management
ā¢ Ability to create and manage custom .gitlab-ci.yml files, runners, caching, and environment variables
ā¢ Hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC networking, compute)
ā¢ Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
ā¢ Requires Security+ or equivalent (Must meet DOD IT II Requirements)
ā¢ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for microservices and cloud-native deployments
ā¢ Experience integrating policy-as-code tools (e.g., OPA, Sentinel) into CI/CD workflows
ā¢ Familiarity with GitOps workflows and branch protection strategies
ā¢ Knowledge of automated monitoring and resource tagging for cost optimization
ā¢ Experience embedding security (DevSecOps) into CI/CD pipelines
