The role involves collaborating with internal and client teams, conducting data analysis, and contributing to various internal projects, including those focused on Generative AI.ResponsibilitiesDefine and scope client challenges or opportunities and prioritize based on urgency, impact, feasibility, and alignment with the client strategy and visionGather business and functional requirements that describe the needs and expectations of the stakeholders, end users and technical teams and ensure that they are clear, complete, consistent, testable, and traceableDocument and maintain requirements throughout the project and track and control the changes and their impact on the solution, the stakeholders, users, and technical teamsCreate roadmaps, including the conduct and incorporation of prioritization, dependency / successor analysis, and resourcingWork closely with Data Engineers and Quality Assurance to ensure requirements are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve project and client needsAnalyze and interpret data using various techniques and be able to identify the patterns, trends, and relationships in the data, and draw conclusions and insights from the dataVisualize data using various tools such as charts, graphs, and dashboards and communicate data findings and recommendations to all levels in an organization using various methods such as reports, stories, and presentationsDevelop data dictionaries, source to target data mappings, and business glossary by working with the Data SME and Business stakeholdersIdentify instances where existing data management processes may be streamlined or improvedPerform gap analysis of policies, processes, and capabilities against frameworks or desired target statesSupport the definition of business rules to assist with data acquisition, data integration and data quality monitoringInitiate analysis to identify data inconsistencies and resolve to raise the level of data integrityCommunicate and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project while adapting the communication style, format, and frequency to clients’ needs and preferencesCommunicate consistently with other team members, leadership and clients outlining status, risks, issues, and key decisionsAssist technical leads, developers, and testers with addressing business and data related questions and concernsProficiency in project planning and monitoring to help ensure the project is on time, on budget, and quality while adhering to best practices and delivery standardsWork with the project manager to plan and prioritizes deliverablesSkillsExperience (In Years): 15+Data Management concepts and functions knowledgeExpertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniquesExperience with reporting packages, databases, programmingAdvanced process modelingAdvanced Microsoft ExcelAbility to consult with functional leaders to understand business objectives to design optimized data solutionsMust be able to facilitate and guide discovery and design sessions with business SME's and technical leadsStrong SQL skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize and meet aggressive deadlinesAbility to organize, prioritize and manage dependenciesAbility to lead group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolutionExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environmentStrong internal communication skills including ability to work with all levels of the organizationKnowledge and understanding of Gen AIIs effective in a variety of formal project and external presentation/meeting settings: one-on-ones, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and superiorsKnowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence (Tableau, Power BI) reportingExcels in a fast paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for successExperience working with multi-shore project teamsExperience working with multiple levels of client personnel to gather information, validate analysis, and make recommendationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsBachelor's degree or EquivalentStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsCompany OverviewEXL is a provider of Transformation and Outsourcing services to Global 1000 companies in multiple industries It was founded in 1999, and is headquartered in New York, New York, USA, with a workforce of 10001+ employees.
