They are seeking an Auditor to join their SafeGuard Services team, responsible for conducting audits, identifying risks, and providing analysis for business improvements.ResponsibilitiesAudits cost reports, claims submissions and performs ad-hoc focused auditsIdentifies inherent and residual risks and conducts risk-based auditsDevelops an understanding of the function to be audited and uses business knowledge, analytical skills and experience in identifying findings and improvementsWorks closely with team members to provide ongoing progress reports and updates of audit findingsParticipates in projects/auditsProvides research and data analysis for moderately complex projectsStays abreast of new audit developmentsSkills5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhDDegree in finance, accounting or related field preferredExperience in finance, accounting or auditIntermediate knowledge of internal audit policies and operating principlesIntermediate understanding of Medicare/Medicaid or healthcare auditing and their revenue cyclesIntermediate risk assessment and scoping skillsStrong research and analytical skillsStrong familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of ExcelU.S. citizenship requiredIntermediate financial and business acumenBasic project management skillsBenefitsDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.Company OverviewPeraton Fearlessly solving the toughest national security challenges.
