[Remote] Associate Vice President Patient Education

They are seeking an Associate Vice President (AVP), Patient Education to lead the development and delivery of patient-centered educational programs that empower individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead a comprehensive patient education strategy aligned with the Foundation’s mission and community needsDesign, implement, and evaluate educational programs, webinars, digital and print resources, and community learning initiatives for patients and caregiversCreate evidence-based, accessible educational content tailored to diverse patient populations and varying health literacy levelsEnsure all educational materials reflect current clinical guidance, patient-centered best practices, and inclusive language standardsIdentify gaps in patient knowledge and develop innovative resources to address unmet educational needsLead and mentor staff within the Communications department who manage virtual programs and publications, in English and SpanishEstablish program goals, metrics, and evaluation frameworks to measure impact, engagement, and outcomesManage program budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and external educational partnershipsOversee content review processes to ensure medical accuracy, accessibility compliance, and consistency in messagingWork with the Advancement team to oversee local chapter educational programs and collaborate on increased support for educational offeringsCollaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate program deliveryExpand and optimize digital education platforms, including webinars, podcasts, video content, and resource librariesEvaluate emerging technologies and engagement strategies to enhance patient learning experiences and community participationUse data and community feedback to continuously improve educational offerings and user experienceSkillsBachelor's degree required, master's degree in public health, health education, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred8+ years of experience in patient education, health education, community engagement, or nonprofit program leadershipDemonstrated experience designing and implementing educational programs and resources for patient communitiesStrong understanding of health literacy, patient engagement strategies, and culturally responsive education practicesExperience developing educational content across multiple formats, including print, digital, video, and live programmingProven ability to collaborate effectively with clinical experts, patients, caregivers, and cross-functional teamsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skillsExperience supervising teams and managing complex projects preferredFamiliarity with healthcare regulations, accessibility standards, and evidence-based content development practices is a plusBilingual English Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to applyBenefitsIncludes a comprehensive benefits packageCompany OverviewParkinson's Foundation is a community organization that serves healthcare services.
