The Associate Project Manager plays an important role in helping events stay organized, on track, and moving forward, supporting the planning and execution of various events while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesSupport the planning and execution of small-to-mid-size events, with guidance from senior teamPartner with Project Managers and Producers on larger or more complex productionsBuild and maintain detailed timelines, and workback schedulesTrack deliverables, deadlines, and action items across internal teams, vendors, and clientsParticipate in internal and client meetings, helping ensure alignment, clear communication, and follow-upContribute to pre- and post-event evaluations and process improvementsCollaborate with Technical Directors and production teams on AV needs, labor planning, and logisticsAssist with coordinating production schedules, gear lists, labor orders, schedules, and onsite logisticsSupport the development and distribution of production schedules, and rehearsal plansPartner with Creative Services and other internal teams to help track scenic, video, graphics, and collateral deliverablesServe as a day-to-day contact for assigned clients, maintaining clear and proactive communicationCoordinate with vendors on logistics, documentation (COIs, agreements, W9s), and timelinesHelp ensure client expectations are met while maintaining alignment with project scope and budgetMaintain project management systems, documentation, and shared filesSupport budget tracking, purchase orders, and invoice coordinationIdentify risks or gaps early and escalate appropriatelySupport on-site execution including load-in, rehearsals, show flow, and load-outHelp coordinate crew logistics and schedulesAct as a problem-solver on-site, assisting with real-time adjustments and communicationSkills2–4 years of experience in event management, event production, hospitality, agency operations, or a related fieldExperience supporting live, hybrid, or virtual eventsExperience supporting timelines, deliverables, logistics, or coordination across multiple stakeholdersStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesClear communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skillsProfessional, proactive, adaptable, and calm under pressure in dynamic environmentsA collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn, contribute, and support the broader teamEagerness to continue building project management and event production expertiseBenefitsMedical, dental, life, and both short- and long-term disability insurance401(k) planGenerous paid time off that grows into uncapped vacation after your first yearFlexibility of a fully remote workplace with no commuteCompany OverviewPrecon Events is an event management & production firm that focuses on virtual, live and hybrid events with event design, platform buildout.
