[Remote] Associate Pre- Sales Systems Engineer

The Associate Pre-Sales Systems Engineer will support the SE organization by driving customer product feature adoption and managing product lifecycles, while also assisting internal teams and engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesAssist internal teams with configuration validation in support of sales opportunitiesCollect and acquire data for use in the creation of sales plays and lifecycle management programs and processesWork with established programs and tools to provide customers with a product performance solution that meets and exceeds their expectationsBe involved in the Account Planning process as part of a larger teamAssist with solution designs and take point on simple designsAssist prospects and customers with basic demonstrations, system configurations, feature adoption, and answer basic technical questionsWork with established programs and tools to support customer pursuitsWork cross-functionally with internal departments such as Customer Support, Professional Services, Renewal, Integrated Operations, and Order ManagementSupport both pre-sales and post-sales activities, optimizing customer engagement and satisfactionDrive technical account management to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support of Pure Storage solutions, fostering strong customer relationshipsSkillsBS in a technical field and 1–2 years of technology industry or equivalent experienceStrong phone presence and experience in a high-volume customer interaction environmentConscientious attitude and dependability, with strengths in teamwork and communicationConfident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities, and a strong ability to listenAbility to collect data, identify problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsPreparation and delivery of technical product and architecture presentationsPassion for technology and aptitude to learn new technologiesSelf-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and proactively, while applying a high level of business and technical acumen to a variety of situationsDemonstrated listening, written communication, and product presentation skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and projects in real-time scenariosApply critical thinking techniques to work through customer situations and interactionsDomestic, overnight travel 5–10% of the timeWillingness to relocate upon promotionKnowledge of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN)Knowledge of VMware, Windows, UNIX OS variants (Linux, AIX, ...), NFS file systems, and network environmentsSalesforce.com experienceBenefitsFlexible time offWellness resourcesCompany-sponsored team eventsCompany OverviewCommunity for all things PreSales: Leaders + Sales, Solution, Value Engineers + Solutions Architects + Aspiring SEs.
